In-home private training available throughout New Castle County, DE. May be available on a case by case basis in southeastern PA/surrounding tri-state area.
Onsite services available at the BlackDog training facility located at 207 Boxwood Rd, Wilmington DE.
Sussex County, DE
In-home private training available in Frankford, Georgetown, Millsboro, and Dagsboro area. May be available on a case by case basis in other areas of the Delaware Beaches.
Onsite services available at our partner Farmhouse Pet Lodge located at 22467 Gravel Hill Rd, Georgetown DE 19947. Enroll in training services through our BlackDog scheduling portal, and check out the Farmhouse website to take advantage of their other boarding, daycare, and grooming services!

Program Details
This service is excellent for those looking to set fast foundations, previous clients looking to boost their overall training experience, dog parents with limitations for typical private training, helping your dog build confidence in new environments, and is a more affordable alternative to traditional “board and train” structure. Our pricing reflects the dedication and commitment of our trainers, our team-based approach, the comfortable and private training environment for your dog, and the expertise of BlackDog as a whole.
In-Home “Day Training” - 12 Pack

2 - 3 sessions a week
45 minutes each
Your dog works one-on-one with a trainer in your home or offsite outings, with detailed notes and videos for your sessions. Owners are present for the final session to go over what has been worked on and transfer skills!
“Daycation” Drop-Off
Skip doggy daycare, and drop your dog off at “school” with BlackDog instead!
Available in full-day ($200) or half-day ($100) “as needed” drop-offs
Available in packages:
Standard ($1500) - 2 drop-offs per week for 4 weeks
Fast Track ($2800) - 4 drop-offs per week for 4 weeks)
Includes basic daily care, training sessions, playtime with staff and other dogs (if appropriate), and other fun activities!

PRIVATE TRAINING
Program Details
Sessions are one hour each, with you, your dog, and your trainer. Package sessions are recommended to be scheduled weekly or every couple of weeks.
Packages are available in-home, at our facility, or virtually. Pricing ranges from $125 - $185/hr, and is dependent on the number of sessions in your package (the more you book the more you save), as well as the environment you choose for your training (virtual lowest price, facility mid-range, in-home being the highest).

For puppies 5 months and under, and carefully crafted to meet all of your puppy’s behavior needs during early development.
Single sessions are available once you complete a package. We encourage you to schedule these as-needed, for continued maintenance and consistency. Once you join BlackDog, we are a resource for you for life!
At any point before, during, or after your private training sessions, please take advantage of our other programs like Board and Train, Group Classes, Playgroup Program, and Day Training!
board & train
Program Details
BlackDog only offers the first and ONLY fully reward-based board & train in the state of Delaware, and we are one of the only board & trains in the entire Mid-Atlantic region. Your dog will live in the quiet home environment on the property of our training facility with access to our fully fenced yard, training space, daily work with our team of experts, and their own private bedroom for rest times (decked out with 24/7 pet-cam, bed, crate or xpen as needed, approved “comfort” items like enrichment, toys, and blankets, and calming tools like white noise and soothing scents).
This service is excellent for those looking to set fast foundations, previous clients looking to boost their overall training experience, dog parents with limitations for typical private training, helping your dog build confidence in new environments, and much more! Our pricing reflects the dedication and commitment of our trainers, our team-based approach, the comfortable and private home environment for your dog, and the expertise of BlackDog as a whole. Please note that we currently only accept one dog into the program at a time so there may be a wait time for your enrollment.

Available in 2 week, 3 week, or 4 week stays (additional $50 off per additional week booked!). Includes:
45 minute “go home” lesson
2 in home follow-ups
Detailed videos/notes of your dogs progress, which you have access to throughout their stay
Ongoing access to the training team for updates
Basic daily care, training sessions, playtime with staff and other dogs (if appropriate), and other fun activities!
1 week stays only available to current/returning BlackDog clients. Includes go-home lesson but does not include in-home follow-ups.

Skip the dog park and doggy daycare! Bring your puppy to a safe, expert-lead playgroup for socialization with well-matched dog-friends. This isn’t your average playtime… we structure the playgroups to include adequate break times, provide guidance on how to help dogs be relaxed and neutral around each other, and teach owners about appropriate dog-dog interactions and body language.

Must be up to date on all age required vaccines (including rabies for dogs 3 months and up) - proof of vaccination required upon enrollment.
